Went to the field this afternoon (Wednesday 23rd July about 5:00pm) to see if anyone was flying...
Instead found a family "practicing golf" on the strip....! It's a public park, but on the strip...?
I wasn't wearing any club clothing (sadly) but I politely explained to them that the mown section was in fact our runway and it would be really appreciated if they could play off the mown section just to the back of the strip. You know, little planes, small wheels, easy to crash etc etc
They (kind of) understood and moved back a few metres...
Sadly they had already knocked a few divots out of the far side of the strip.
Just letting you know...
PS: Arising Star (saved from skip and converted to electric) is now ready. Chris Bott to test fly on Friday night. Can't wait...!
